Abstract

The purpose of research were (1) To calculatethe cost of cassava in UPH Jaya Makmur 1, and (2) to analyze the added value of diversification products of cassava in UPH Jaya Makmur 1 Talang Jambe Village Palembang City. Data collection was conducted in April 2023. The method was a case study and the method used in sampling was purposive sampling method. The data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the cost of production of cassava chips was Rp. 7,606, for opak crackers it was Rp. 11,147, and mocaf flour was Rp. 19,277. The proposed development strategy involves product diversification, increasing operational efficiency, and strengthening digital marketing. The value-added ratio obtained in the processing of cassava chips is 90.64%, opak crackers is 81.06%, and mocaf flour is 45.26%, which indicates an opportunity to increase profits through further processing. so that based on the criteria for determining the value-added ratio. The development strategy that should be carried out at UPH Jaya Makmur 1 is located in quadrant 1, namely using more strengths to take advantage of existing opportunities and focus on diversification potential.
