Abstract
PT. Pertamina is one of the State-Owned Enterprises engaged in the oil and gas sector. One of the branches of PT Pertamina that is the place of research is located in Prabumulih City, South Sumatra Province. The study was conducted to analyze the design of ESP pumps in the GLX Well. The stages carried out for the design analysis of the ESP pump consist of 2 parts. The first stage is to analyze the production capability of the GLX well, where the main parameter needed in the design of the ESP pump is the optimal production rate of the well (Qopt). The second stage is the analysis of the ESP pump design with the Qopt target. The parameters of the ESP pump design analysis include pump setting depth, pump intake pressure, gas separator and advance gas handler requirements, ESP pump performance, electric motor performance, electric cable performance, switchboard and transformer performance. The results of the analysis that have been carried out have obtained a Qopt of 180.96 bfpd. In order to produce Qopt, it can be used with the ESP IND280 pump, where the number of stages is 236. ESP pumps require a shroud-mounted gas separator and do not require an advance gas handler (AGH). In order for the ESP IND280 pump to operate properly, the equipment components that must be used are the 540 series electric motor, the #2 series CU- #1/0 AL electric cable, the DFH-2 switchboard size, type 72, size 2 and the 26 KVA transformer.
