Abstract

In Sukamaju Village, there are still several obstacles in disseminating information about village government programs, including the lack of information updates from the village government and counseling or socialization to the community regarding social media that has been used by the village government in disseminating information about village government programs is still lacking so that many people still do not know the media that has been used so far. Based on this background, the author wants to conduct a study entitled "Utilization of Social Media in Disseminating Information on Village Government Programs (Case Study in Sukamaju Village, Babat Supat District, Musi Banyuasin Regency)". The form of research used in this study is a qualitative research method. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data. The data sources that will be used in this study include primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation. This study aims to disseminate information on village programs. Internal communication involves the village head, staff, and Karang Taruna, while external communication faces the challenge of community technology access. Based on the results of the research conducted by the author, it can be concluded that the use of social media used by the village government and the community in Sukamaju village can be said to be good, because based on the results of the research that has been conducted, many people have been helped by the programs that have been implemented by the village government and then distributed through social media owned by Sukamaju village.
