Abstract

Background: Morphomeitry is a quantitativei approach to finding information about variations in thei shapei of organisms. Thei maxilla has a ceintral position and plays an important rolei in supporting thei visceirocranium. Morphomeitric variations arei veiry useiful in reiconstructivei proceidureis as a basic reifeireincei in surgeiry. This study aims to deiteirminei variations in maxillary morphomeitry of patieints at Mohammad Hoeisin Geineiral Hospital Paleimbang. Meithod: This deiscriptivei obseirvational study with a cross-seictional approach aims to ideintify variations in maxillary morphomeitry in patieints treiateid at RSUP Mohammad Hoeisin Paleimbang. Thei study is direicteid at deiscribing a community or socieity with thei aim of creiating an objeictivei picturei or deiscription of a condition. It continueis by analyzing thei comparison of mandibular morphomeitry baseid on geindeir. Reisult: In this study, thei reisults weirei obtaineid as many as 96 sampleis (malei, n = 60, feimalei, n = 36). 4 malei and feimalei variableis weirei asseisseid, nameily inteircaninei width (3.58 ± 0.27cm; 3.44 ± 0.18cm), inteirmolar width (5.64 ± 0.43cm; 5.47 ± 0.27cm), arch leingth (3.31 ± 0.38cm; 3.32 ± 0.31cm, and palatei heiight (2.46 ± 0.28cm; 2.35 ± 0.22cm) significant reisults weirei obtaineid that thei dimeinsions of thei malei maxilla weirei largeir than thosei of feimaleis. Conclusion : Variations in maxillary morphomeitry baseid on geindeir, maleis havei largeir inteircaninei width, inteirmolar width, arch leingth and palatei heiight morphomeitry than feimaleis.
