Abstract
This research is a development study aimed at producing Basic Chemistry teaching materials based on STEM Problem Based Learning (PBL) on acid base topics that are valid and practical. The development model used is ADDIE, modified with Tessmer's formative evaluation. The steps of the ADDIE development model include analysis, design, and development. Tessmer's formative evaluation stages consist of self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, and small group evaluations. Data were collected through walkthrough interviews, expert validations, and questionnaires. The validation results showed that the teaching material design achieved a score of 0.92 (high validity category), pedagogical validation scored 0.90 (high validity category), and material validation scored 0.91 (high validity category). Practicality tests based on qualitative data indicated an average score of 0.95 in the one-to-one stage (very practical category) and 0.94 in the small group stage (very practical category). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Basic Chemistry teaching materials based on STEM Problem Based Learning on acid-base topics meet the criteria for validity and practicality.
