Abstract

The success of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as an online game is largely influenced by its user experience. In system development, user experience analysis is essential for enhancing user satisfaction and loyalty. However, despite being downloaded over 500 million times on the Play Store, Mobile Legends has only received a rating of 3.9. In addition to its low rating, the game has also experienced a decline in player numbers. Given this issue, an evaluation is needed to determine the causes of its low rating and the decrease in active players. The Game-Design Factor Questionnaire (GDFQ) is designed to assess user experience based on 11 core game factors and an additional factor related to flow. These factors cover key aspects such as game mechanics, freedom, interaction, fantasy, and challenges. GDFQ was chosen because it enables a comprehensive evaluation of the elements that influence player satisfaction and engagement. This study involved 150 respondents who had played Mobile Legends. The results indicated high scores in Game Goals (75.8%), Sociality (72.9%), Challenges (71.3%), and Game Mechanism (71.1%). Meanwhile, Game Fantasy (47.8%), Flow (50.5%), and Narrative (53.6%) were identified as weaknesses of the game.
