Abstract

This research is based on the background to see the role of Cyber Public Relations in fullfill Public Informations needs whether it is about*work programs, activities, or events from The Government of Palembang City through access official account from Palembang Communication and Information Office in a way to fast, accurate, and extensive. This study aims to determine how the role of Cyber Public Relations in provide or convey information to the public. The Research Methodology from this study is a qualitative method, with a descriptive type of research. The techniques of data collection from this research are are in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies. There are two kind of data sources from this study, they are primary and secondary data. The Primary data obtained from interviews with public relations staff of Palembang Communication and Information Office who manage the information at website and instagram official account from Palembang Communication and Information Office. The secondary data is taken from additional information from the literature of books, journals and other scientific research. Analysis of this study shows that there is role of the Cyber Public Relations of the Palembang Communication and Information Office in order to fulfill public information needs.
