Abstract
This research aims to analyze the crisis communication management strategy implemented by the Public Relations division of the Regional Police (Polda) of Lampung in handling the crisis caused by the spread of the viral video "Lampung Dajjal" uploaded by TikTok account @awbimaxreborn. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, this research analyzes the application of Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) across four dimensions of crisis communication strategies: Deny, Diminish, Rebuild, and Bolstering. The findings reveal that Lampung Regional Police Public Relations implemented most SCCT strategies but did not employ the Attack the Accuser, Apology, and Ingratiation strategies. Although crisis management efforts were conducted through various approaches such as clarification, Compensation in the form of report withdrawal, and strengthening positive image, public response still showed dissatisfaction, indicating the need for a more effective approach in managing crisis communication and building public trust. Keywords: crisis communication management, police public relations, social media, communication strategy
