Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) di kelas VII SMP N 1 Kikim Timur. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VII.E SMP Negeri 1 Kikim Timur yang berjumlah 36 orang. Proses pembelajaran berlangsung sesuai dengan karakteristik dan langkah-langkah pendekatan Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh gambaran bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL)di kelas VII.E SMP Negeri 1 Kikim Timur adalah Cukup dilihat dari nilai rata-rata tes Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis yaitu sebesar 59,17. Persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat baik adalah sebesar 5,5%; Kemudian 52,8% memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis baik; 19,4% memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis cukup; 13,9% memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis kurang; dan 8,3% memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis sangat kurang.
