Abstract
The aims this research is to determine the effect of type and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer that is best for the growth and production of sweet corn on Ultisol. This research conducted in the nets houses Soil Science Department Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University Inderalaya, this research conducted from February 2016 until June 2016. This research used a completely randomized design factorial consisted of two factors. Factor 1, consists of three treatments: A1 = POC banana weevil, A2 = POC bamboo shoots, A3 = POC gliricidia leaves. factor 2, consists of 3 levels of concentration, namely: B1 = 8%, B2 = 16%, B3 = 24%. parameters that observed in this research is 1) Plant height, 2) The amount of leaves, 3) Weight of corncob with shuck, 4) Weight of corncob without shuck. The data were analyzed using analysis of variance (F test) and if there is an effect of treatment, analysis continued by LSD test 5%. The results show that plant height and amount of leaves on the treatment of gliricidia leaves with a concentration of 16% give the best response, in treatment of banana weevil with a concentration of 16% shows the real effect of the corncob with shuck and give the best response to the weight of corncob without shuck on Ultisol, It can be concluded that almost all variables have not shown any real effect with treatment of some liquid organic fertilizer given to sweet corn on Ultisol.
