Abstract

Analysis of Water Needs and Coefficients of Rice Plants (Oryza sativa L) in Lebak Swamplands aims to determine the value of water needs in rice plants in rice fields that apply polder systems and determine the value of the coefficient of rice plants in rice fields that apply polder systems. This research has been conducted from July 2024 to August 2024 in the laboratory of Soil and Water Engineering, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwjaya University, Indralaya and PT Buyung Putra Pangan, Pemulutan sub-district, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. The method used in this research is using quantitative methods and tested descriptively in the form of tables, graphs, and images. There are 3 measurements in conducting the research, namely evapotranspiration measurement, infiltration measurement, and water level measurement. The data used are primary data such as the value of infiltration, evapotranspiration, and water level obtained from direct measurements. and secondary data such as humidity, light intensity, length of irradiation, maximum temperature and daily minimum temperature which can be taken from the official BMKG South Sumatra website during January to December 2023. The results of this study are the maximum temperature and daily minimum temperature of 28.8 ° C. and 25.2 ° C., the average value of humidity is 81.8%. The value of water level is between 6.75 to 11.25cm. The coefficient value of rice plants in paddy fields that apply the polder system ranges from 0.53 to 1.61. The water requirement value of rice plants in paddy fields applying the polder system ranges from 6.25 mm/day to 13.25 mm/day. And the infiltration value of rice plants in paddy fields that apply the polder system ranges from 0 to 3cm/day.
