Abstract

This research aims to find out what spesies of terestrial insects are found, diversity, dominansice, and the effect of ecosystem changes of insects in the Taman Pendidikan FKIP of Sriwijaya University. Research time starts in September 2024- February 2025. This research employed a survey method. Data collection utilized an exploratory approach with the insect net, yellow trap and light trap technique at 3 sampling stations. The results of the study revealed a total of 292 individuals of insects, consisting of 33 insect spesies, including Promachus yesonicus, Aedes aegypti, Musca domestica, Bactrocera dorsalis, Leptocorisa oratorius, Gonocerus acuteangulatus, Nezara viridula, Ectomocoris atrox, Lisarda inornata, Apis cerana, Xylocopa latipes, Eumenes coarctatus, Vespa affinis, Macrotermes gilvus, Amata huebneri, Utetheisa pulchella, Cymaenes tripunctus, Potanthus ganda, Zizina labradus, Acraea terpsicore, Coelites epiminthia, Junonia coenia, Junonia orithya, Papilio demoleus, Appias libythea, Appias olferna, Eurema blanda, Brachythemis contaminata, Diplacodes nebulosa, Orthetrum sabina, Rhyothemis phyllis, Acrida conica, and Phlaeoba fumosa. The results of the calculation of the terrestrial insect diversity index are included in the high criteria, with a value of 3.0836 which shows H' > 3. Meanwhile, the dominance index is in the low category, with a value of 0.0705 which shows 0 < C ≤ 0.5. Overall the largest abundance value was Macrotermes gilvus with a spesies abundance value of 0.0204 individuals/m2 and a relative abundance value of 49.5%. Meanwhile, the largest abundance in insect nets is Aedes aegypti 30 Ind/3 Sweep. Changes in the structure of the ecosystem cause such spesies of insects as Phalacrus politus, Tiphia popilliavora, Euagoras plagiatus, Polistes fuscatus, Hypagyrtis piniata dan Hyles liniata can't find it now.
