Abstract

This study aims to optimize the location of Feeder Musi Emas Stop Points on the Stadion Kamboja-Bukit Siguntang Route in Palembang City using the Covering Based Problem (CBP) model formulation, namely the Set Covering Location Problem (SCLP) and the Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP), as well as the Improved Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP) with the LINGO 13.0 software. Improved MCLP aims to see the potential for adding new optimal demand points to facilities or services. The Stadion Kamboja-Bukit Siguntang route is the last corridor of Feeder LRT Musi Emas service which has a total of 44 stopping points. The CBP model produces the optimal stopping point location according to the demand point. While the Improved MCLP model produces 33 additional new stop locations that should be fulfilled on the Feeder LRT Musi Emas Stadion Kamboja-Bukit Siguntang Route. Therefore, this study recommends the Improved MCLP model solution as the optimal solution for the location of the stopping point of the Feeder LRT Musi Emas Stadion Kamboja-Bukit Siguntang Route.
