Abstract

- Synthesis of electromagnetic wave absorber material based on spinel ferrite ZnX Co(1-x) Fe2O4 which aims to make materials that can function as electromagnetic wave absorbing materials. ZnX Co(1-x) Fe2O4 was synthesized using solid state reaction method using High Energy Milling (HEM) tool. ZnX Co(1-x) Fe2O4 material was characterized by XRD to determine the phase and crystal system formed, FTIR to determine the functional groups, SEM - EDX to determine the morphology and chemical constituents, and VNA to determine the ability of material absorption in electromagnetic wave absorption. In ZnX Co(1-x) Fe2O4 material, the phase formed is single phase and the crystal system formed is cubic. The resulting pasticle size ranges from 100 - 1400 nm. The known wave numbers from the range 547 - 573 indicate the functional group (M - O) tetrahedral metal oxygen. Material with a value of x = 1.0 has the best composition for the ability to absorb electromagnetic waves of 93.60% (-11.16 dB) at a frequency of 6.12 GHz.
