Abstract

Dalam pengoperasian Motor Induksi dengan metode starting langsung pada saat melakukan start arus motor empat sampai tujuh kali dari arus nominal atau momen awalnya sering terlampau kecil yang tentunya akan mempengaruhi jatuh tegangan. Pada motor ZM-2051-1 arus awal mencapai lima kali dari arus normal. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa arus pada kondisi saat starting motor cukup besar sehingga, menyebabkan terjadinya jatuh tegangan. Dengan demikian akan menganggu sistem operasi secara keseluruhan. Berdasarkan dari hasil perhitungan starting motor yang digunakan di PT. Pertamina Plaju khususnya dikilang Polypropilene yaitu pada tegangan busbar 6.6 kV adalah 6222.3 volt atau 94.3% dari tegangan 6,6 kV, artinya pada motor ZM-2051-1 pada saat starting motor induksi tidak begitu, hal ini menunjukan bahwa tegangan berada pada kondisi normal yaitu dibawah 10% dari tegangan nominal.
