Abstract

Pemahaman konsep suhu dan kalor dalam pembelajaran IPA sering menjadi tantangan bagi siswa. Penelitian ini menganalisis pemahaman siswa kelas VIII terhadap konsep tersebut menggunakan Model Rasch. Metode ini mengukur tingkat kesulitan soal, kemampuan siswa, dan kecocokan soal dengan individu. Penelitian ini melibatkan 171 siswa dengan instrumen 25 soal pilihan ganda yang divalidasi menggunakan Model Rasch. Hasil menunjukkan 51,46% siswa memiliki pemahaman tinggi, sementara 48,53% masih mengalami kesulitan. Tingkat kesulitan soal bervariasi, dengan 12% sangat sulit dan 16% sangat mudah. Model Rasch juga menunjukkan reliabilitas instrumen yang baik. Hasil penelitian menegaskan pentingnya metode pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen dan pendekatan inkuiri untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Evaluasi berkala dengan Model Rasch dapat membantu mengidentifikasi kesulitan belajar secara lebih akurat.
