Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the four magic words story book on the politeness of children aged 5-6 years in Az-Zahrah Islamic Kindergarten Palembang. The research method used in this study is the Pre-experimental quantitative method with a one-shot case study design. The data collection technique uses observation (checklist sheet) and tests (question items). The selection of samples in this study used a cluster random sampling technique, namely 19 children aged 5-6 years consisting of 11 boys and 8 girls. The results of data analysis on the normality test that has been carried out show that the data is normally distributed because 〖x^2 〗_count ≤ 〖x^2 〗_table namely 〖x^2 〗_count= 1.71 and 〖x^2 〗_table = 28.86. Then from the t-test calculation it was found that t_(count ) = 5.92 and t_(table )= 1.734. This shows that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, namely t_(count ) ≥ t_(table )= (5.92 ≥ 1.734). So the results of the test can be concluded that there is an effect of the application of the four magic words story book on the politeness of children aged 5-6 years at Az-Zahrah Islamic Kindergarten Palembang.
