Abstract
This study aims to analyze the level of independence of early childhood (5-6 years) in daily activities at the Harapan Bunda Early Childhood Education Center, Tanah Abang District, PALI Regency. The method used is quantitative descriptive with data collection through participatory observation and documentation. The research sample consisted of 15 children. The results showed that the level of children’s independence reached 80.60%, with the category of Developing Very Well (BSB). Details of the indicators include physical activity 87.5% (BSB), learning activities 75.62% (Developing According to Expectations), responsibility 77.5% (BSB), discipline 90% (BSB), social skills 73% (BSH), and emotional control 80% (BSB). Factors that influence independence include the family environment, opportunities from parents, and social experiences. In conclusion, the level of children’s independence at the Harapan Bunda Early Childhood Education Center is very good, although improvements are still needed in the aspects of learning and social skills.
