Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the strategies employed by the Palembang City Government's Regional Administration to resolve the border conflict between Palembang City and Banyuasin Regency in the Tegal Binangun region. Thomas and Killman identified five conflict management strategies: avoidance, competition, accommodation, compromise, and collaboration. This study employed a qualitative method, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings of this study showed that, territorially, the border conflict between Palembang City and Banyuasin Regency has been resolved with the issuance of Ministerial Regulation 134/2022. However, socio-cultural issues arose due to community rejection, but these issues can be addressed to prevent further anarchic behavior.
