Abstract

Dalam dunia konstruksi, penggunaan limbah beton sebagai pengganti agregat dalam campuran aspal semakin diteliti untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan dari Construction and Demolition Wastes (C&DW). Namun, campuran aspal berbasis limbah beton cenderung mengalami penurunan sifat mekanik, sehingga diperlukan bahan tambahan seperti Gilsonite untuk meningkatkan kualitasnya. Gilsonite, yang merupakan aspal alami dengan kandungan asphaltene tinggi, diketahui mampu meningkatkan stabilitas dan ketahanan campuran aspal terhadap deformasi serta memperbaiki durabilitas perkerasan jalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan Gilsonite pada campuran Asphalt Concrete Binder Course (AC-BC) yang menggunakan limbah beton sebagai pengganti agregat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Gilsonite secara signifikan meningkatkan stabilitas dan fleksibilitas campuran aspal, meskipun sedikit mengurangi kekakuan dan kepadatannya. Dengan mempertimbangkan keseimbangan performa, kadar 8% Gilsonite direkomendasikan sebagai yang paling optimal, karena memberikan kombinasi stabilitas dan fleksibilitas terbaik tanpa mengorbankan kepadatan campuran.
