Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the best dose of organic fertilizer that was aplicated after liming by dolomite to improve water quality, survival rate and absolute growth of catfish (pangasius sp.). The method of the research is Completely Randomized Design which consist of 4 treatments with 3 replications. The treatments were 10 ton/ha dolomite without organic fertilizer super petroganik (P1), 10 ton/ha dolomite + 100 g/m2 organic fertilizer super petroganik (P2), 10 ton/ha dolomite + 170 g/m2 organic fertilizer super petroganik (P3), 10 ton/ha dolomite + 240 g/m2 organic fertilizer super petroganik (P4). The parameters that observed were pH water and soil, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, survival rate, absolute growth, and feed efficienc of fish. The result showed that P4 was the best treatment according to data of swamp water pH increased from 4.56 to 7.78, soil pH increased from 3.3 to 7.74, survival rate (100%), absolute growth 0f weight (9.0g) and length (4.53cm) and feed efficiency 101.55%.
