Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has increased children's access to digital platforms for education and entertainment. However, this access also brings challenges in digital security literacy. Children need to understand how to protect themselves from online threats such as scams, cyberbullying, and exploitation. Therefore, interactive and fun learning methods are needed so that they can understand the concept of digital security. This study aims to design a mobile-based digital security literacy educational user interface game using the Child Centered Design (CCD) method. This method ensures children's involvement in the design process. This study consists of 4 (four) main stages: determining the context of use, determining usage needs, producing design solutions, and evaluating designs. The stage of determining the context of use is carried out through observation and interviews with parents and teachers to understand user needs. The Specify Use Requirement stage is carried out by analyzing needs and designing the user interface. The Produce Design Solutions stage is carried out by developing prototypes starting from storyboards, low-fidelity wireframes, to high-fidelity prototypes, and evaluation is carried out using three parameter tests, namely effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. The results of the study showed that the Security Mission game obtained excellent test results with an average final score of 92.45%. The evaluation showed an effectiveness value of 100%, efficiency of 96.36%, and user satisfaction level of 81%. Thus, this game can be an effective and interesting learning medium for children in improving digital security literacy.
