Abstract

This study aimed to find out the slow learners characteristics and the factors infuenced the actualization slow learner of R student, in SMP N 11 Palembang. The problems of this study were the characteristics and factors which influenced actualization slow learner in R. The method of this study was descriptive qualitative study case approach. The techniques for collecting the data were observation, interviewing the subjects, parents, teachers and classmate an documentation. The results showed that the R characteristics were hard to concentrate, slow learner, avoid heavy duty, low learning spirit, low learning outcomes, careless or less conscientious, rebbelious, aggressive and indifference. The factors which influenced actualization internally it were ever clash in the head, and externally parents, parenting protect, low expectations, allowing the children to cheat. Boring family atmosphere, lack of attentions and the motivation toward R learning. Less supportive learning environment.
