Abstract

PT Bukit Asam is a coal mining company conducting land reclamation on post-mining areas. This study aimed to identify soil insects and environmental factors affecting their diversity in Air Laya (TAL). Samples were collected from five points using the transect method and extracted with a Berlese-Tullgren funnel. A total of 304 individuals from 12 genera and 4 orders were found. The Shannon-Wiener, indicating moderate diversity. The dominance of Pheidole and Glyptotermes suggests early ecosystem stability.
