Abstract

The aim of the research was to make design of urban forest park on Banyuasin regency office area. The study was started from December 2014 through March 2015 in open space of office area Banyuasin regency at Pangkalan Balai city. The method used was observation and survey. The steps of this research were: 1). Inventory; data collection in field of planning include: border regions, identification of vegetations, road accessibility, social and economic; 2). Analysis; problems analyze after the primary and secondary data collection. Primary data includes the results of questionnaire and vegetations data on the land, secondary data includes documentary of monograph city and supported with the literature studies; 3). Synthesis Concept; development existing potential and troubleshooting after the analysis of primary and secondary data. Concept design by changing the passive open space in the area become active open space with designed as urban forest park; 4). Planning and Design; urban forest park was dominated by trees and ornamental plants supporter of aesthetics combined with hard materials to reinforce areas as community area, rest area, playgrond area, jogging track and amphiteater. Draft made in form of 2D and 3D images, and as well as video with software Autocad 2010, Realtime Landscaping Architecture 2013, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, SAS Planet and Windows Movie Maker. Design value were obtained through questionnaire and the results was analyzed using Likert Scale calculations. Results indicated that there was a preference for the design value 87 % of urban forest park and that all responden there was a positive response that the design should be implemented.
