Abstract
Soil fertility is a condition that determines the ability of soil to provide sufficient and balanced nutrients for plant growth. Assessment of soil fertility is done through analysis of chemical properties, which includes the content of C-Organik, N-Total, and K-dd. Fertile soil can optimize production, while less fertile soil requires intervention to improve nutrient status. This study aims to assess the differences in nutrient content and its effect on rice production on different cleared land supported by climate and land characteristics data at PT Buyung Putra Perkasa. This research method uses a detailed level survey method with a scale of 1:10,000 and direct observation to the field. Determination of soil sampling points was carried out using the systematic sampling method on two blocks of land of different ages opened with a land area of 3 ha. This research involved sampling 6 points, where every 3 points represented an area of 1.5 ha. Soil chemical characteristics analyzed included pH, C-Organik, N-Total, and K-dd. The results of the analysis showed that there were variations in nutrient content The results of the analysis show that there are variations in nutrient content from low to medium levels that have differences. The results of the analysis showed that there were variations in nutrient content from low to moderate levels that had differences. This study shows that the two managed lands have differences in terms of chemical characteristics and nutrient status. The level of rice production also shows that five-year arable land has a larger average production of 6.5 tons ha-1 while one-year land has an average production of 4.7 tons ha-1 in 2024. The difference in production in the two plots is due to differences in nutrient status that contrast in N-Total levels and soil acidity levels (pH). As is known, these two chemical parameters play an important role in optimizing rice production.
