Abstract

The purpose of this sludy were (1) to measure the effectiveness of FMA on laying duck farming income in the Bukit Village Betung Sub District Banyuasin Regency, (2) to measure the level of farm income laying ducks of FMA in the Bukit Village Betung Sub District Banyuasin Regency, and (3) analyze the correlation between the effectiveness of FMA with the farm income laying ducks in the Bukit Village Betung Sub District Banyuasin Regency. The research method is case study method, sampling method used in this study is the method of census of the 30 farmers who are all members of the FMA, which consists of officers and members of farmer groups FMA. Farmer groups are sampled Farmer Group that runs the farm business activities of FMA with laying ducks in the Bukit Village Betung Sub District Banyuasin Regency. The results of this study the effectiveness of FMA in farmers cultivating laying ducks are on the high criteria with an average score of 38.9 while the income of farmers sample in 2010 was Rp 96.968.300,- annually. The results of the analysis on the correlation between the effectiveness of FMA activity by Income Farmers in the Bukit village made by statistical test on the real rank sperman a = 0,05. Based on calculations derived count rs = 0,748, while the table rs = 0,3059, so count rs > rs tables then the dccision rule is reject Ho means that there is a correlation between the effectiveness FMA with farm income laying ducks in the village of Bukit.
