Abstract

The increase in environmentally friendly agricultural production has become a major concern in addressing land degradation caused by intensive chemical fertilizer use. This study examines the effect of (LOF) derived from tofu factory waste with local microorganisms bamboo shoot(Bambusa vulgaris) on the growth and production of green mustard plants (Brassica juncea L.) in Ultisol soil. The research was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with five different LOF doses: 0 ml, 25 ml, 50 ml, 75 ml, and 100 ml, each with four replications. The observed parameters included the number of leaves, leaf greenness level, fresh shoot weight, and dry shoot weight. The results showed that LOF application significantly influenced the growth and yield of green mustard. The optimal dose that produced the best results was 75 ml of LOF, leading to the highest number of leaves, the greatest leaf greenness, and the highest fresh and dry shoot weights compared to other treatments. This study concludes that LOF from tofu factory waste with a bamboo shoot decomposer can serve as an environmentally friendly organic fertilizer alternative to enhance the productivity of green mustard plants
