Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the elasticity of cassava farming production factors that use and do not use Cassava NPK fertilizer 17-6-25 in Banjar Margo District, Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung Province. Cassava NPK Fertilizer contains a special formula consisting of 17% Nitrogen (N), 6% Phosphate (P), and 25% Potassium (K). Potassium is higher than standard NPK fertilizers are essential for strengthening roots and increasing tuber productivity. The purpose of this study is to 1) Describe the characteristics of farmers who use Cassava NPK 17-6-25 and farmers who do not use Cassava NPK in Banjar Margo District, 2) Analyze the production factors that significantly affect cassava production, both those who use Cassava NPK 17-6-25 and those who do not use Cassava NPK in Banjar Margo District, 3) Analyze the elasticity of cassava farming production factors, both those that use Cassava NPK 17-6-25 and those that do not use Cassava NPK fertilizer in Banjar Margo District. The research method carried out was a survey method of 60 farmers in two layers. The first layer is 30 cassava farmers who use 17-6-25 Cassava NPK fertilizer and the second layer is 30 farmers who do not use 17-6-25 Cassava NPK fertilizer. From the results of the research, there are differences in the characteristics of farmers, namely farmers who use 17-6-25 Cassava NPK fertilizer, the majority are more than 40 years old, have a land area of 1.25 - 2 Ha, earn a household income of more than Rp.5000,000, take a high school education level and have farming experience of 1-5 years. Meanwhile, farmers who do not use NPK Cassava 17-6-25 fertilizer are mostly more than 40 years old, have a land area of 0-1 Ha, earn a household income ranging from Rp.1000,000-Rp.3000,000, pursue high school education and have more than 10 years of farming experience. The elasticity of the use of production factors varies, namely farmers who use Cassava NPK fertilizer 17-6-25 are in phase II (Decreasing Rate), namely Land, Cassava NPK Fertilizer 17-6-25 and Herbicides. Meanwhile, those in phase III (Negative Decreasing Scale) are Seeds, Labor, and Urea Fertilizers. Farmers who do not use 17-6-25 Cassava NPK fertilizer are in phase II (Decreasing Rate), namely Seeds, Land, Labor, and Urea Fertilizer. Meanwhile, those in phase III (Negative Decreasing Scale) are NPK Phonska Fertilizers and Herbicides.
