Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the effect of the implimentation quantum learning method to improve students learning motivation in civics lesson at SMP Negeri 2 Palembang. The population was all of the students SMP Negeri 2 Palembang which the total number of students was 976 students. In this implementation, the reseacher used quasi-eksperiment design which was two defferent learning methods were conducted in civisc lesson, formerly, the samples ware taken by using purposive sampling. Then it was already chosen VIII.3 with 29 students of experimental class and VIII.5 as the control class. In collecting the data documentation technique, observation and questionnaires were used. Based on the data analysis and study descriptoin, it was obtained the difference average percentage of students learning motivation by using quantum learning method was 56.61% which was enough for learning motivation category. While the average percentage of students learning motivation by using accelerated learning was 46.35% which was enough for learning motivation category. It was also supported of f-tes analysis finding showed p<.05 which was .000<.05 at 5% significance levels. It mean that it rejected H0 and it accepted Ha. Thus, there is a significant effect of the implementation quantum learning method to improve students learning motivation in civics lesson at SMP Negeri 2 Palembang
