Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the adoption level of Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) on tidal land and its impact on household food security in Telang Jaya Village, Muara Telang Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency. Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) is an adaptive approach designed to enhance agricultural productivity, resilience to climate change, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The research employed a survey method with a simple random sampling technique involving 45 rice farmers. The findings revealed that the adoption level of CSA technology in Telang Jaya Village is categorized as high. Farmers have adopted technologies such as blowers, tractors, superior seed varieties, legowo planting systems, direct seeding methods, and irrigation systems. Household food security among farmers was also categorized as high, measured through indicators of availability, accessibility, utilization, and stability of food. Further analysis demonstrated a significant relationship between CSA technology adoption and household food security, where CSA adoption contributes to improved food availability and stability. This study concludes that the adoption of CSA practices can be an effective solution to addressing climate change challenges and enhancing household food security on tidal land. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers to support CSA implementation in similar areas. Keywords: climate smart agriculture, food security, technology adoption
