Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perceptions about plagiarism prevention and tackling efforts accordance with Permendiknas No 17 Tahun 2010 in FKIP Sriwijaya University. In this study the population was the students of FKIP University year of 2011 who had followed the proposal seminar research. The total population of this study was 354 student with margin of error expected by the researches 5%, then the sample of this study was approximately 175 people. The data collection techniques required in carrying out this study were documentation techniques, questionaire and internet to determine the perceptions of the students of FKIP Sriwijaya University about plagiarism prevention and tackling efforts in accordance with Permendiknas No 17 Tahun 2010, the researches used quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques, based on the analysis result of the three data collection techniques, it can be concluded the average of students who strongly agree with plagiarism prevention and tackling efforts in accordance with Permendiknas No 17 Year 2010, the researcher used quantitative descriptive data analysis techniques. Based on the result of the three data collection techniques, it can be cocluded the average 12.8 scores of students who strongly agree with plagiarism prevention tackling efforts in accordance with the permendiknas no 17 Tahun 2010. Based on the questionaire detained from the students, the average 25.2 scores for indicators of plagiarism prevention efforts undertaken by the students and the university was average 25.2 scores, which indicates that the students strongly agree to the prevention efforts undertaken on the other hand the, for the indicators of tackling plagiarism efforts done by the university if the plagiarism case happens, the students gave respond strongly agree with the average 36.5 scores.
