Abstract
Land limitations and dependence on water availability are the main challenges in agricultural systems, especially in rice cultivation. This condition causes difficulties in land management and a decrease in crop productivity. This study aims to test the performance of the evapotranspiration irrigation system by plot rice cultivation using the System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method. The research method used is a structural design with descriptive data presentation. Water use efficiency is measured based on the water productivity ratio, which is the amount of crop yield obtained per volume of water used, as well as plant productivity which reflects crop yield per unit area of land. The results showed that the evapotranspiration irrigation system on the plot outside the plant house produced water productivity of 1.60 kg/m³ and harvest productivity of 6.81 tons/ha. This system is beneficial in improving water use efficiency, reducing drought risk, and supporting sustainable agriculture with more optimal land and water management.
