Abstract

The research purpose (1) to identify stimulating factors that influence farmers in adopting Super Unggul Bagus SJ rubber seed, (2) to identify obstacle factors that influenced farmers in adopting Super Unggul Bagus SJ rubber seed, (3) to compare farmers Benefit Income that adopt Super Unggul Bagus SJ rubber seed and not adopted farmers. This research was done in Pelawan Singkut district Sarolangun regency in early week of February 2006 a until in the mid of April 2006, by case study method. Sample taking method which was used was unstratified random sampling that stratified to 2 stratification namely first stratification were farmers that adopt Super Unggul Bagus SJ rubber seed and second stratification were farmers that not adopt Super Unggul Bagus SJ rubber seed, so the sample farmers were 20 farmers. Data which was got would be described and identified based on mathematical theory for benefit and would be explaind descriptively by explaining result in explanation. Stimulated factors that thend to stimulate farmers in adopting Super Unggul Bagus SJ rubber seed, were education (90%), innovation benefit (100%) and compatibility (100%). Obstacle factors that thend to influence farmers not adopt Super Unggul Bagus SJ rubber seed were Capital (100%), farmers behaviour (100%) and compleksity (100%) based on farmers record. Based on mean or farmers production that first stratiflcation farmers was 710 kilograms per hectare per mont an second stratiflcation was 360 kilograms per hectare per mont and selling price Rp. 7.300 minus by mean of operational cost Rp. 499.800 per hectare. Mean of farmers revenue that was obtained by first stratiflcation farmer was Rp. 4.684.200 per hectare per month and second stratiflcation farmer was Rp. 4.684.200 per hectare per month. First stratiflcation farmer profit was bigger than the second stratiflcation.
