Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country whose population lives in rural areas and makes a living as farmers. But as many as 90% of farmers still rely on chemical fertilizers to fertilize the soil in their rice fields. Continuous use of chemical fertilizers will have a negative impact on the soil. The majority of residents of Pemulutan District work as farmers, especially rice farmers. The difficulty implementing eco enzyme based organic fertilizer is caused by farmer’s lack of openness to new technology. Therefore, an analysis must be carried out on the factors that support farmers to facilitate the introduction of eco enzyme-based organic fertilizer. This research aims to analyze the factors that support the introduction of eco enzyme-based organic fertilizer in Pemulutan District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. This research was carried out from December 2024 to March 2025. The research methods used were gap analysis, SWOT analysis, and AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). The results of the IFAS - EFAS interaction which resulted in an alternative strategy that received the highest weight was Weakness - Opportunity (WO), namely education and training and subsidies for eco enzyme-based organic fertilizer. Then proceed with analysis using the AHP method, which shows that the priority enabling factors for the introduction of eco-enzyme-based organic fertilizer in Pemulutan District, the scenario that is considered the most realistic is the optimistic scenario, with the target that must be prioritized is increasing farmers' income, with the first alternative being education and training on eco-enzyme-based organic fertilizer, and the second alternative being market opportunities for eco-enzyme-based organic fertilizer.
