Abstract
Economic growth describes the country's economy, therefore the main indicator in assessing economic performance is economic growth. To determine the level of economic growth of a country can be seen through GDP per capita. This study aims to analyze Gross Domestic Product per capita and the factors that influence it in five ASEAN countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam. The independent variables studied include government spending, Corruption Perception Index, and trade openness using data for the period 2008-2022. The analysis method used is panel data estimation method using Fixed Effect Model. The results of the research analysis partially show that the government expenditure variable has a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita. Corruption Perception Index has a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita. Trade openness has a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita. Simultaneously, government spending, Corruption Perception Index, and trade openness have a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita. The findings are expected to be a reference for policy makers to improve the economy of ASEAN countries.
