Abstract

his research attempts to analyze the extent of the Village Head’s performance in improving road infrastructure which aims to find out how the Village Head’s performance in the process of infrastructure development and improving the accessibility and quality of roads in Rantau Bayur Village. This study uses a field design to measure the success of the performance of the Rantau Bayur Village Head using the performance theory approach from Mathis and Jackson (2002). The result is that the Village Head already has the initiative and ability in terms of planning and supervision, including determining priority roads and efforts to get support from stakeholders. The village head has also demonstrated transparency in budget management, but its effectiveness in implementation still needs to be evaluated. The Village Head has also shown This efforts to increase his capacity in terms of development, but the implementation is still considered not fully optimal. In conclusion, the performance of the Rantau Bayur Village Head in improving the accessibility and quality of road infrastructure has shown some positive efforts, but still faces challenges in terms of equity.
