Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana program adiwiyata dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik, Program Adiwiyata merupakan salah satu kebijakan pemerintah yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan sekolah peduli dan berbudaya lingkungan. Program ini tidak hanya berfokus pada aspek lingkungan fisik, tetapi juga pada pembentukan karakter peserta didik, khususnya karakter peduli lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui Program Adiwiyata, peserta didik dibiasakan dengan aktivitas lingkungan seperti pengelolaan sampah, penghijauan, dan kegiatan kolaboratif yang menumbuhkan kepedulian, tanggung jawab, dan kesadaran lingkungan. Kesimpulannya, Program Adiwiyata efektif dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan peserta didik melalui pendekatan pembiasaan dan keteladanan dari seluruh warga sekolah. Kata kunci: Karakter; pendidikan; program_adiwiyata Abstract : This research aims to find out how the Adiwiyata program in shaping the character of caring for the environment of students, the Adiwiyata Program is one of the government policies that aims to create schools that care and have an environmental culture. This program not only focuses on aspects of the physical environment, but also on the formation of students' character, especially the character of caring for the environment. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that through the Adiwiyata Program, students are accustomed to environmental activities such as waste management, greening, and collaborative activities that foster environmental care, responsibility, and awareness. In conclusion, the Adiwiyata Program is effective in shaping the character of caring for the environment of students through an approach of habituation and example from all school residents.
