Abstract

Kepala keluarga merupakan individu yang memiliki banyak peran dalam keberlangsungan hidup dari suatu keluarga, yakni sebagai penyedia dari kebutuhan secara materi, seperti menyediakan uang, makanan, tempat tinggal, pakaian dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk peralihan peran seorang istri sebagai kepala keluarga yang disebabkan oleh suami yang sedang menghadapi penyakit Tuberkulosis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan observasi non partisipan dan wawancara mendalam serta dokumentasi setiap kegiatan lapangan selama penelitian berlangsung. Adapun temuan yang didapatkan oleh penulis dalam penelitian ini, ialah peran istri saat menjadi kepala keluarga selama suami sakit yang terbagi menjadi beberapa peran yakni peran secara finansial, sosial dan psikologis. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman lebih lanjut tekait bentuk kerja sama suami istri dalam berumah tangga.
