Abstract
Seagrass Halodule sp. is flowering plants that have rhizomes, leaves and true roots. Seagrass Halodule sp. live in water with high salinity. Bioactive compound of Seagrass Halodule sp. which act as antidiabetic agent. The purpose of the research was to determine the bioactive compounds and activity antidiabetic with terraced extraction used different levels of polarity, n-hexane (non-polar), ethyl acetate (semi-polar) and ethanol (polar) as an antidibetic agent in seagrass Halodule sp. This research was conducted from November 2015 to May 2016. This research used an experimental laboratory, data analysis were done descriptively based on the results. Some of the steps being taken were the testing of bioactive compounds (flavonoids, saponins, steroidal compounds and compounds triterpenoids) and antidiabetic analysis (125 ppm, 250 ppm, 500 ppm, 1,000 ppm and 2,000 ppm). The results showed that seagrass Halodule sp. obtain water content of 9.5% and with terraced extraction were contain bioactive compound is flavonoids, saponins, steroids and triterpenois. The results IC50 of seagrass Halodule sp. on the last extraction with ethanol solvent was 74.99 ppm.
