Abstract

his research is entitled "Implementation of the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) in MI Najahiyah, Seberang Ulu I District, Palembang City in 2016". The background of this study is data confusion in the distribution of recipients of Smart Indonesia Cards, inaccurate targets in the distribution of Smart Indonesia Cards, and lack of socialization carried out by the Ministry of Religion regarding PIP. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) in MI Najahiyah Palembang Seberang Ulu I District 2016. The research used a qualitative descriptive method. This research uses the theory of Donald Van Metter and Carl Van Horn which are measured in six implementation performance variables, namely standards and policy objectives, resources, communication between organizations and implementing activities, characteristics of implementing agents, dispositions, and social, economic and political conditions. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the program has gone well. The results of this study recommend that the Ministry of Religion directly disseminate to students and parents, and schools should be more thorough in making proposals for students who deserve to receive assistance and supervise the use of funds obtained by students to be used properly.
