Abstract
Edamame is considered as vegetable crops consumed by most japanese recently. The aim of this reseacrh was to determine the effect organic fertilizer on the growth and production of Edamame. The research was conducted from March 2016 until May 2016 at the experimental field Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera. The research method used Completelly Randomized Design (CRD) with seven treatments and four replications. Each replication consisted of three unit, so there were 84 plant in total. The treatments consisted of without treatment/ Control (P0), 100% N, P, K fertilizer/ Control (P1), 6 ton ha-1 of biofertilizers of coffee pericarp equivalent to 30 g 10 kg-1 soil (P2), 12 ton ha-1 of biofertilizers of coffee pericarp equivalent to 60 g 10 kg-1 soil (P3), 18 ton ha-1 of biofertilizers of coffee pericarp equivalent to 90 g 10 kg-1 soil (P4), 24 ton ha-1 of biofertilizers of coffee pericarp equivalent to 120 g 10 kg-1 soil (P5), and 30 ton ha-1 of biofertilizers of coffee pericarp equivalent to 150 g 10 kg-1 soil (P6). The results showed that by there were no significant different among treatments. The use of biofertilizer of coffee pericarp, tended to give good growth of edamame tend to show good responses to indecatid by high level chlorophyll content and the level of sweetness of Edamame. The best treatment was found on the treatment of BFCP 12 ton ha-1 (P2) with production of 4,89 ton ha-1.
