Abstract

Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang pada saat ini banyak di konsumsi oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman Bawang Merah Varietas Tajuk (Allium ascalonicum L.) dengan pemberian pupuk kandang ayam. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Lahan Percobaan Jurusan Budidaya Pertanian, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya, Kecamatan Indralaya Utara, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan berada tepat pada titik koordinat 3,21994o S dan 104,64724o T yang dilakukan pada bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2024. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan satu faktor perlakuan. Faktor perlakuan tersebut adalah dosis pupuk kotoran ayam yang terdiri dari 4 taraf dan setiap taraf diulang sebanyak 3 kali pada setiap unit yang terdiri dari 4 tanaman, sehingga total terdapat 48 tanaman yang diuji. Pupuk yang digunakan adalah jenis pupuk organik asal kotoran ayam dengan variasi takaran yang berbeda. Dosis pupuk yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah P0 = Kontrol (Tanpa pupuk kotoran ayam), P₁ = 10 ton/ha (40 g/polybag), P2 = 20 ton/ha (80 g/polybag), P3= 30 ton/ha (120 g/polybag). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandang ayam dengan dosis yang berbeda pada tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) memberikan hasil terbaik pada perlakuan P3= pupuk kandang ayam 30 ton/ha (120 g/polybag) terutama pada parameter panjang daun pertanaman, jumlah anakan perumpun, laju pertumbuhan daun, jumlah umbi, diameter umbi,volume umbi, berat segar umbi, berat kering umbi, berat segar berangkasan, dan berat kering berangkasan
