Abstract

Water quality is one of the important factors in various sectors, such as agriculture, industry, and natural ecosystems. One crucial water quality parameter is pH, which measures the acidity or alkalinity of the water. The pH value of water can affect the survival of aquatic organisms, as well as chemical processes in a variety of industrial applications. Therefore, continuous monitoring of the pH of water is indispensable to maintain its quality. This study aims to design and analyze a water pH monitoring system based on pH-4502C sensor combined with Visible Light Communication (VLC) technology. The pH sensor of the 4502C is used to accurately measure the pH level of water, while VLC technology allows the transmission of pH data through a laser. The receiving device of this data transmission uses solar cells, which have a frequency response to a red laser of 20Hz, with a datarate of 40 bps using modulation of 50 ms over a distance of 100 meters
