Abstract
HEALTH PROMOTION MASTER STUDY PROGRAM (S2) PUBLIC HEALTH SCIENCE FACULTY OF PUBLIC HEALTH SRIWIJAYA UNIVERSITY Scientific writing in the form of Thesis, 22 September 2022 Eliza Syafni; Dibimbing oleh Nur Alam Fajar dan Rico Januar Sitorus Determinants of low access to health services for people with HIV/AIDS in Jambi City xi + 91 pages, 2 pictures, 22 tables, 3 appendices The increase in the number of people living with HIV is due to a lack of access to HIV treatment and prevention services. This will have an impact on decreasing the health of PLHA. Aims to analyze the determinants of low access to health services for people with HIV/AIDS in Jambi City. Combination research method (mixed methods) is a research method that combines quantitative methods with qualitative methods. The sampling technique used purposive sampling so that 244 respondents were infected with HIV/AIDS. The research location is in Jambi City Health Facilities and was carried out on March 21-April 31, 2022. The results showed that among 244 respondents, 57.4% had poor service quality, and 42.6% thought that the quality of sanitation facilities was better. . The results of the bivariate analysis showed that the variables that were significantly related to access to health services were health facilities, knowledge. In addition, the results of the multiple logistic regression test obtained that the variables that affect access to health services for people with HIV/AIDS. The factors that affect access to services for PLHA in Jambi are knowledge of ARVs after being controlled by the variables of gender and quality of health services. This knowledge factor is the most dominant factor in influencing service access for PLHA in Jambi. PLHA who have less knowledge about ARV will be at risk 8 times more likely to access poor health services than PLHA who have good knowledge. Keywords: Access to health services, HIV/AIDS, PLHA
