Abstract

The aims of this research were to: (1) Calculating duku farming income in the talang dukun village of pinang river district, ogan ilir (2) Calculating the contribution of duku farming income to the income of farmer households in the village of talang dukun subdistrict river pinang district ogan ilir (3) Formulating the duku agribusiness development strategy as fruit local superior. This research was conducted in Talang Dukun Village, Sungai Pinang Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra, from November to January 2018. The research method used is the survey method and sampling method in this study is method intentionlly (purposive sampling) by taking 30 samples from 225 duku farmers. The data collected is primary and secondary data. The results of this research are (1) The average income obtained from duku farming in Talang Dukun Village, Sungai Pinang Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency is equal to Rp. 17,646,826.18 per cultivated area per year; (2) The income contribution of duku farmers in Talang Dukun Village is in the moderate category, with an average of 45.01%; (3) The strategic priority that can be used for the development of duku agribusiness as the local superior fruit in Talang Dukun Village is the SO (Strenght-Opportunity) strategy, which consists of several strategies including: 1) Optimizing existing land to increase production, 2) Utilization related institutions to disseminate or provide information on the sales process, and 3) Promotion of duku fruit to increase consumer interest.
