Abstract
This study aims to develop and assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of ESD-oriented E-LKPD using liveworksheets in improving the environmental literacy of grade VI elementary school students. This research uses the development method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), but only until the Develop stage. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, which included expert validation questionnaires, teacher and learner response questionnaires, and environmental literacy questionnaires for pretest and posttest. The validation results showed that the E-LKPD was very valid with a score of 97% from the material expert and 96% from the media expert. The pilot test was conducted in two stages: small group trial and field trial. The small group trial involved one teacher and five learners, resulting in a practicality score of 91% from the teacher while the learners' response reached 80%. After revision, the field trial was conducted with 30 learners, in which 25 learners filled out the practicality response questionnaire, obtaining a score of 84% in the practical category. The effectiveness of the E-LKPD was measured through an environmental literacy pretest-posttest, showing an increase in scores from 79% on the pretest to 84% on the posttest, with the largest increase in the environmental knowledge aspect (52% to 68%). Paired T-Test showed a significant increase (p = 0.006), but the N-Gain value of 0.23 was low, with the highest increase in the knowledge aspect (0.33, medium category), while the attitudes (0.17), uses (0.21), and concern (0.23) aspects were still low. Thus, the ESD-oriented E-LKPD proved to be very valid, practical, and able to improve students' environmental literacy, especially in the knowledge aspect, although its effectiveness in the aspects of attitude, utilization, and interest still needs to be improved.
