Abstract

Petroleum is one of the natural resources produced in Indonesia as an energy source, in several oil well there has been a decreased in productivity. MEOR (Microbial Enhanched Oil Recovery) is one of the techniques to increase oil productivity in reservoirs. The perpose of the research is obtaining indigen bacteria that has characteristics as MEOR (Microbial Enhanched Oil Recovery) agent. The method used in this research is indigen bacteria isolation from petroleum samples, continued with bacteria selection according to heat resistance characteristics, producing gases and biosurfactant. The result of the research obtained that petroleum samples which was taken from oil well produced indigen bacteria which has characteristic needed as an agent to increase oil well productivity. Discovered 8 indigen bacterias isolate from isolation process, 4 indigen bacterias isolate has the characteristic as MEOR (Microbial Enhanched Oil Recovery) agent, neither the four others.from four inidigen bacterias isolate, one of them can endure up to 60oC dan the 3 others can endure up to 70oC. The highest amount of biogas produced was 301, 44 m3 and the most biosurfactant produced at most was 39, 34%.
