Abstract

Penyelenggaraan IESF Championship 2022 di Bali menjadi momentum strategis bagi Indonesia dalam memperkuat nation branding melalui sektor esports. Ajang ini memberikan kesempatan bagi Indonesia untuk menunjukkan kapasitas sebagai tuan rumah event internasional sekaligus membangun citra positif di mata komunitas global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi nation branding Indonesia melalui penyelenggaraan IESF Championship 2022, menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Landasan analisis mengacu pada konsep nation branding Simon Anholt yang mencakup enam dimensi utama: Tourism, Exports, Governance, Investment and Immigration, Culture and Heritage, serta People. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia mengoptimalkan keenam dimensi tersebut untuk membentuk citra nasional yang modern, kreatif, dan terbuka terhadap perkembangan global. Melalui pendekatan ini, Indonesia berusaha memperkuat posisinya di ranah esports internasional sekaligus meningkatkan daya tarik pariwisata. Penyelenggaraan IESF Championship 2022 tidak hanya mempertegas kapabilitas Indonesia dalam mengelola event berskala dunia, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap citra negara di berbagai sektor. Penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa event internasional berbasis digital seperti esports dapat menjadi instrumen yang efektif dalam diplomasi budaya dan promosi identitas nasional di era globalisasi, sekaligus membuka peluang baru untuk memperluas pengaruh Indonesia di tingkat internasional , khususnya terhadap sektor pariwisata yang tercermin dari meningkatnya jumlah wisatawan mancanegara pada akhir tahun 2022.
