Abstract
This research focuses on the design and development of a 150 WP Hybrid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) integrated with an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) and monitored using the Internet of Things (IoT) technology for water pump operation. The system uses solar panels as the primary energy source, with PLN electricity as a backup, enabling the automatic switch of energy sources when solar energy is insufficient. The implementation of the ATS ensures continuous energy supply, while real-time data monitoring is achieved via ESP32 microcontroller connected to the Blynk application. A hybrid solar power plant system for water pump with an integrated monitoring system for Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) operation was successfully designed and implemented. Based on data from the Blynk application, the ATS typically activates between 18:00 and 20:00, except for a few days with earlier activation because of rainy days. The highest DC current of 8.32 A, while the peak voltage and power output—11.97 V and 99.35 W—occurred at 12:00, corresponding to the highest solar irradiance of 229.64 W/m². Economically, the 150 WP hybrid solar power plant system is estimated to achieve a payback period of 4.4 years.
